My name is Katarina and I currently live on the island of Oahu, Hawai’i. I’m originally from sunny San Diego, but the love and hospitality that comes with Hawaiian culture made me feel right at home the minute I stepped foot on these beautiful white sands. I have always fantasized about living here, and I have never been happier being able to live out this dream. As someone who is basically more in the water more than I am on land, my bathing suit choice is so very important in regards to quality and style. The minute I put on my first Midori bathing suit in 2015, I fell in love.

From the Start

I was in my last year of college in San Diego when my friend told me about Midori bikinis. I had always been a water baby from growing up right along the beach in San Diego and was just getting back into surfing at the time. I didn’t hesitate to add a couple of suits to my online cart when I saw how cute the designs were! And to add to that, Midori is all about boosting self-confidence and beauty - two traits that are so very important to remember to remind yourself every day! Five years later, I live in Hawai’i and got a message that I was chosen to become an ambassador. I was stoked that I now get to represent my all-time FAVORITE bikini brand! 

Hobbies

If you say anything about the beach or the ocean, I'm in. Whether that’s an endless beach day, beach bonfire, diving for fish, scuba, or surfing, I’ll be right there! To say that I needed to find a bikini brand that could withstand all these hobbies was an understatement, since I basically lived in bathing suits. Midori is the only brand I trusted to jump, hop, surf, hike, basically do anything in, without worrying about a wardrobe malfunction! But other than these water-related activities, my other greatest hobby is music. I grew up playing music and have been doing it for over 15 years now and I would definitely say that it’s one of my biggest passions. And when I'm not at the beach, I’m working with sweet little kids as a pediatric nurse!

From growing up and living in two places that are a laid-back and overall friendly culture, I strive to surround myself with people who naturally show the aloha spirit.
