This weekend I took a step back in time and visited our OG La Jolla office. It wasn't something I had planned, my boyfriend and I were riding his motorcycle down the coast to a spot he was going to surprise me with for lunch and he just so happened to park right in front of it.

 

 

That office was a place I drove to with anticipation each morning. A home away from home alongside 7 incredible employees. A place filled with laughter, numerous customers, and all of the workings behind Midori. It brought tears to my eyes to remember the trunk shows we hosted, the all-nighters spent packing Black Friday orders, employee lunches, fittings, meeting babes like YOU, & so much more.

 

Midori hasn't grown like that since we moved out; 80% of our customers were from organic traffic through Instagram and TBH, I didn't make the move to paid marketing when I should have.

In the last few weeks, I've debated where to go from here. It's just me at Midori and it's often lonely- and, frustrating trying to navigate the ups and downs. Every time I consider moving on, however, one of you emails or dm's me just to say hi (queue the tears again). A few days ago, I received two incredibly kind, long, and heart-felt emails from two of you just voicing your appreciation for the confidence Midori envokes + my hard work.

 

Is that my sign to keep chuggin' along?

As I explore the possibilities, I'm turning to some new options to stay in business. Last week I launched The Midori Beach Club; a loyalty program that will reward you with points that can be used as cash on our site for:
